I've been meaning to do this for a while. Some entries may be public.
I'll have a shiny banner eventually.
I have no idea what I've been up to since the last update...mainly because I don't know what I was up to the last time I updated. I am supposed to be doing art homework right now.
Spring Break was great, very relaxing. I spent most of my time working or sleeping, but that was all fine.
I'm furiously trying to get through these next few weeks and accomplish all I need to get done, while getting my blog back on track. I'm also making travel plans (more on these as they develop) but I have lots of great places in mind, like NYC, Toronto and LA.
My boyfriend visited this weekend and he showed me the amazing portrait
he did of me for his art class. I was floored. It's gorgeous. We also (finally) went to the mattress factory, which is partly pictured above. That's an installation done by Yayoi Kusama, who is an amazing artist. We also saw Randyland
, which is basically two houses decorated in this fantastic style by a local artist.

So, yeah...corrupted hard drive. Now my computer won't boot properly. Well, it boots, but it won't log on. Thankfully, I had some advance warning and I backed up all of my data, even though it looks like I'll have to reinstall a ton of programs. Boo, hiss. But like I said, my data should be intact, so it could have been much worse.
So I guess I didn't do the best with that reverb10 thing, huh? Maybe I'll look for the ones that strike my fancy and put them up here.
Otherwise, sorry about the lack of updates - I guess it's one of those times where you're too busy living life to write it down. Have I said that before? Either way, it's true.
Here's a rundown of what I've been doing:
+The semester finally ended. I wish I could get information from my professors next semester as to which books I should be buying, though...
+I got a new writing gig! Due to some networking mojo and some plain ol' dumb luck. Details forthcoming.
+Christmas was great. So was my birthday.
+Ian moved to Savannah, GA for school (well, as of this writing, he's probably still on the road). I'm not nearly as saddened as I thought I would be. Mainly because it seems like a great fit and I'm happy for him. Also, because he's been dealing with my living in Pittsburgh for what - two years now? We won't be seeing each other any less than we have for the past couple of years and we're making plans to meet in Maryland for Valentine's. I think it's all pretty romantic, although at this rate we'd have to have separate studies if we ever moved in together. (Not a separate bed though.)
+I officially watch too much television. To the people who got me hooked on Misfits and The Vampire Diaries? I hate you all. I'm still scrambling to catch up on Dexter (I'm still finishing up season 3!) and then RuPaul's Drag Race starts back up January 27th (yaaaas!).
This entry took me entirely too long. I'm just gonna post it now.
Finals Week = Hell week. I've been hard at work studying (among other things) so I'm a bit behind, but at least I'm getting them written! That counts for something, right? Anyway, here they are. The one for Dec 16 and 17 should be up tomorrow.

December 14 – Appreciate
December 15 - 5 Minutes( Read more...Collapse )
As I type this, I'm sitting in the economics library, taking a break from studying (what else?) developmental economics. Today was kind of slow - I unintentionally caught up on sleep that I had missed while staying up late for duty for the past four days.
For the next couple of days I'm going to focus on studying for Dev Econ and Stars, Galaxies and Cosmos. After I take the astronomy final on Wednesday, I'll go full throttle on Intermediate Microeconomics. I'm not sure how my grade will pan out in that class. However, all I can do is try to do well on the final, so I'll focus on that instead.
Here's my reverb10.

December 12 – Body Integration This year, when did you feel the most integrated with your body? Did you have a moment where there wasn’t mind and body, but simply a cohesive YOU, alive and present? (Author: Patrick Reynolds)( Read more...Collapse )
On a finer note, this is my last night of duty for the semester! Yaaay! Of course, I have hardly any studying to show for it. I plan to spend the better part of tomorrow in the economics library boning up on developmental economics and astronomy. Hopefully I can sneak in some gym time, but if not, I can always walk laps around Schenley Park with my notes in tow. My fellow RA, Lynn, and I plan on escaping to Phipps Conservatory on Thursday to soak in the Holiday Flower Show before I get slammed with my Intermediate Micro final (groan - wish me luck/pray for me/etc on that one). I took a mini-sabbatical from my blog to let me get through finals and recharge my batteries.
Also, look out for my annual holiday card post! (It'll probably be tomorrow.) It will have screened comments, so feel free to post if you'd like to get something from me in the mail. No reciprocation necessary.
December 9 – Party.
What social gathering rocked your socks off in 2010? Describe the people, music, food, drink, clothes, shenanigans. (Author: Shauna Reid)
To be honest, I don't go to parties that often. I prefer intimate affairs with friends. Then again, who doesn't enjoy the opportunity to don a pair of sky high heels and a cute dress? Halloween was pretty legit though - I met a lot of interesting people, however briefly. It was certainly rife with shenanigans, let me tell you that.
I AM, however, looking forward to my 20th birthday. And here's to partying in the new year!
I think I'm finally starting the upward climb towards not having having a cold! I would throw confetti in excitement but I already need to vacuum.
